Eric Dier appears to be in game mode, as he shared ‘excellent days work’ and a photo of himself in Tottenham Hotspur training on Instagram.
The 29-year-old played for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham during pre-season, including the last game against Barcelona, but he hasn’t even made the matchday squad since.
There does not appear to be any ailment or issue with Eric Dier, other than the club’s new manager preferring him above others.
Summer signing Micky van de Ven has started at the heart of the defence, alongside Cristian Romero, with Davinson Sanchez as the backup.
The latter has been frequently chastised throughout the years, including being booed by Tottenham supporters last season, but Postecoglou continues to use him.
Regardless, Dier wrote this on Instagram as he continues to be left out of Postecoglou’s matchday lineups.
Is Dier’s career coming to an end?
It could be because the signals being put out aren’t excellent from his perspective, but a lot can change in a short period of time.
Yes, there is speculation of him leaving Spurs this summer, with a move across London, as well as a move to Celtic, being discussed.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Dier actually stays put, but then ends up moving in January when he has hardly played and then realises that his time is up.
