The 52-year-old is currently unemployed after being fired as manager of the Spanish national team following a disappointing World Cup campaign.

During his time at Barcelona, the Spanish manager helped the club win the treble, and he has also managed clubs such as Roma.

To persuade the fans and keep their top players, Spurs will need to bring in a proven winner.

Players such as Harry Kane have been linked with a move away, and the England international will assess Tottenham’s ambitions before committing to the club for the long term.

Enrique’s attacking style of play could be ideal for Tottenham. The attacking players at the north London club will undoubtedly benefit from working with the Spaniard.

Tottenham have appointed interim manager Cristian Stellini until the end of the season, and it remains to be seen whether Enrique is willing to take over immediately or wait until the end of the season.
