Good News for Tottenham as the all-time greatest manager finally accept to replace Antonio Conte

Good news for Tottenham, as the club’s all-time best manager has finally agreed to take over for Antonio Conte.

We’ve also had coaches with ties to Tottenham put their names into the hat.

Gus Poyet recently stated that he would welcome the “unbelievable” opportunity to manage the Spurs, noting that he understands what they require.

Meanwhile, Harry Redknapp previously stated that regaining control of Tottenham Hotspur would be “difficult to say no to.”

He stressed at the time that it’s “not about the money, it’s about the challenge.”

Now, Redknapp has thrown his name back into the hat, saying that he’d welcome Conte’s previous pay.

He commented on the Beyond The Pitch Podcast: “I don’t know, it’s very open.”

“Is anyone available?” I believe I’m ready, therefore I’ll return. That £15 million a year would be very useful to me!”

Our view

You can’t blame a guy for attempting!

Obviously, Redknapp stated that figure since that is what Conte was purportedly paid at Tottenham.

We all know that the former Tottenham Hotspur manager’s chances of gaining the job again are extremely slim.

He did, however, have a successful tenure at Tottenham, guiding them back into the Champions League.

Indeed, Robbie Keane called him “probably the greatest man-manager of all time.”

But, let’s face it, it’s unlikely to happen.

Redknapp may have fancied his chances of becoming caretaker, possibly alongside Ryan Mason, a few weeks ago.

However, Cristian Stellini was hired (and promptly fired), thus Mason is now in interim control once more.

Now it’s just a matter of getting over the finish line, and a top-four finish would be fantastic.

Needless to say, there is a great deal of work to be done at Tottenham.

Daniel Levy wants to get his appointment right now more than ever.

The post-Pochettino era has been a string of major letdowns.

Not only that, but Spurs have paid out a significant amount of compensation after sacking managers.

According to sources, Pochettino received £12.5 million, Nuno Espirito Santo received £14 million, and Mourinho received £16 million.

Clearly, the money on offer at Tottenham is significant, but it is now time for them to bring in someone who is perfect for them and who they will not have to pay off.
