Heung-min Son finally open up talk on surprise £50m move to Saudi Arabia this summer

Heung-min Son has denied rumors that he may make a surprise move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Al-Ittihad are reportedly planning to offer the attacker a long-term contract worth £25 million per year, as they want to expand their squad further following the signing of Karim Benzema and the probable arrival of N’Golo Kante.

Chelsea quartet Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Hakim Ziyech, as well as Ruben Neves and Bernardo Silva, have all been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks.

However, while Al-Ittihad are supposedly readying a £50m bid for Son, Tottenham have no interest in selling the forward as they prepare for a first pre-season under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

Son responded to rumours about his future while on international duty with South Korea following a draw with El Salvador, dismissing the notion that a large cash offer could lure him to become the latest high-profile player to join a Saudi club.

“I have a lot to do in the Premier League,” Son explained.

“Money isn’t important to me anymore; what matters is the pride of playing football in my favorite league.” When I return to the Spurs, I’ll prepare thoroughly.”
