Jack Wyllie finally reach full two years agreement with club as Tottenham beaten off Rangers

Tottenham made a move for Rangers youngster Jack Wyllie, but the Scottish club beat Tottenham to his signature, according to the Daily Record.

Wyllie, who turned 16 last year, will sign a two-year contract with the Gers this summer.

The teenage right-back is presently playing for Scotland’s under-16 team.

According to the Daily Record, “Rangers have beaten off English Premier League bids to sign Jack Wyllie and Calum Adamson on professional contracts.” “From this summer, the pair will sign two-year professional contracts.”

“Arsenal and Tottenham both made bids for Wyllie, while Crystal Palace and Newcastle United were interested in midfielder Adamson.” Rangers academy chief Craig Mulholland played a significant role in both youngsters staying at Rangers.”

Wyllie appears to have a bright future in football, with the youngster having the potential to be the next great thing at Ibrox.

It’s difficult to maintain such talents at a club for long, especially when English giants Tottenham come calling, but Rangers appear to have done so with Wyllie.

The Gers have seen the likes of Billy Gilmour and Nathan Patterson go down that path in the past, and while the powers that be will want the same for Wyllie, it appears they have their own plans for him right now.

Success on the pitch will definitely be on their minds, but finances will undoubtedly be on their minds as well, with the Gers set to receive a significant windfall in the near future if Tottenham keep tabs on the teenager.

He will be 18 when his two-year contract with Rangers expires, and the club is anticipated to be more open to offers at that point.
