Tottenham Hotspur have jumped ahead of West Ham United in the race to sign long-term target Gleison Bremer.
According to Tuttosport, Tottenham are in pole position to recruit Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer season.
And, with Hammers manager David Moyes looking to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer, signing Bremer makes sense.
Especially when Juventus is eager to offload him this summer in order to raise finances. According to Tuttosport, he could be available for roughly €50 million (£43 million).
Moyes, on the other hand, appears to have his job cut out for him…
According to Tuttosport, Juventus is demanding £43 million for Bremer owing to financial difficulties, and Tottenham is in pole position to recruit the Brazilian.
Spurs winning the race for Juventus’ center-back will be devastating. With Craig Dawson having been sold in January, Angelo Ogbonna nearing the end of his career, and Kurt Zouma still dealing with injury issues, he’d be the ideal addition for the Hammers.
Last season, the 26-year-old averaged one tackle, 1.4 interceptions, and 3.8 clearances per game in 30 Serie A appearances for Juventus. He also won 2.6 aerial duals each match on average (Who Scored).
Bremer, who is 6ft 2in tall and has a long leap, is a force in the air. He’s also swift on the ground and a tough tackler.
Transfer Market Web referred to the South American as the ‘jewel in the crown’ during his tenure with Torino. Former Torino boss Davide Nicola called him ‘amazing’.
Meanwhile, Football Transfers describes him as a ‘excellent’ defender.
This is an excellent player who appears to be built for the Premier League. Unfortunately for West Ham, Gleison Bremer appears to be on his way to Tottenham this summer.
