Bryan King believes Guglielmo Vicario is keen on signing a brand-new contract with Tottenham.
The ex-Spurs scout has been impressed with the Italy international since he arrived in North London, despite some of his recent struggles.
As reported by Milan Live (18 September), Inter Milan are prepared to offer £25million to Spurs for Vicario.
However, King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t think the goalkeeper is interested in leaving Spurs.
“I think this is his agent stirring up a little bit of interest,” King said.
“Perhaps that is because Vicario is looking for another contract with Tottenham. He has done well since joining the club, even if there are certain things that he needs to improve on.
“Overall, he had a great season last year, and he kept Spurs in games at times.”

Vicario is currently contracted with Tottenham until 2028.
Therefore, it is unlikely that offering the 27-year-old a brand-new deal is high on Spurs’ list of priorities.
However, after watching Fraser Forster’s performance in the 2-1 win at Coventry City on Wednesday (18 September), Ange Postecoglou won’t want to lose Vicario.
It is clear that Spurs don’t have a number two ready to take the Italian’s position, and having only replaced Hugo Lloris with Vicario last summer, the club won’t want to embark on another transfer search anytime soon.
