Tottenham has been advised to hijack Arsenal’s transfer for Declan Rice, who is on his way out of West Ham.
Rice has been an important player for the Hammers for numerous seasons and they want him to stay beyond this season.
He does not appear to be interested in playing in the Champions League, and he has not signed a contract extension.
This gives Arsenal the opportunity to add him to their team, but they are not alone in their pursuit of him.
Several top Premier League clubs want to sign him, and Jamie Redknapp has advised Tottenham to do the same.
“Whatever they do in the summer, Spurs fans will undoubtedly want to see them – for example, Declan Rice is available.”
“Now that Arsenal is in the mix, why can’t Spurs be?” That is the type of player they should be attempting to acquire. That’s what they should be doing right now, but I don’t believe it will happen.”
Rice is one of the best midfielders in the world, capable of performing for any club in the United States or Europe.
He is a player our midfield requires and is eager to join us, but we cannot be complacent and assume he will not accept another offer.
The season will end in two months, and we must prepare to finish it.
