Tottenham Hotspur fans should be ‘excited’ over the likely appointment of Arne Slot as their next manager, according to Alex Crook, because the Feyenoord coach has been compared to Pep Guardiola.
The talkSPORT broadcaster went on to say that this might be a ‘important week’ for Tottenham since Daniel Levy is getting closer to bringing in a replacement for Antonio Conte.
Arne Slot, who led Feyenoord to the Dutch title, could be that man. Crook revealed on talkSPORT Breakfast (22/05/23) that he is’very keen’ in the Tottenham position, and it appears that he could be the man to come in with a figure of ‘£6 million’ being suggested.
There will be clear parallels with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, since he came to Old Trafford last summer after leading Ajax to the Dutch title.
Manchester United’s football is improving; a trophy is already in the cabinet, and another might be on the way in the FA Cup final, while the club is on the verge of returning to the Champions League.
If Slot is hired and brings it to Spurs, it would be a seriously, seriously excellent appointment.
