Posteocoglou list three players to leave immediately after poor display vs Barcelona

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted that the club’s summer transfer activity is not yet complete.

Ange Posteocoglou has revealed that he is still looking for a central defender before the summer transfer market closes. The Australian made the statement in light of Micky van de Ven’s arrival from Wolfsburg in a deal worth £43 million plus add-ons.

Spurs may still make further changes to their backline, as Postecoglou is aware that several defenders may go in the coming weeks.

Joe Rodon is set to join Leeds on loan while Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga remain in talks over possible exits.

Speaking after the 4-2 defeat to Barcelona in Catalonia on Tuesday night, Postecoglou refused to rule out further reinforcements at the back.

When quizzed if another centre-back was on the agenda, the ex-Celtic head coach replied: “Yeah potentially [signing another central defender].

“Once again, we have to make sure that we keep the squad manageable and see what happens with outgoings, but the potential to bring in one more is there.”

Tottenham have added Perr Schuurs of Torino to their list of transfer targets.

Crystal Palace are also interested in the Dutchman, who joined Torino last summer from Ajax.

Ajax would be entitled to 15% of any fee received by Torino, meaning that the Italians will almost certainly drive a hard bargain.
