On Saturday, Roma drew with AC Milan in the Italian league, and a number of Premier League clubs had scouts in attendance to keep an eye on certain prospective transfer targets.
Manchester United and Chelsea, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, sent scouts to see Roma attacker Tammy Abraham in action.
The 25-year-old has nine goals and seven assists in all competitions, proving to be a valuable signing for Roma. Last season, the striker scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Italian club.
Manchester United and Chelsea both need a consistent goalscorer, and it remains to be seen whether either club is willing to sign the 25-year-old this summer. Abraham is worth €80 million, according to the Italian publication.
Meanwhile, the report adds that Tottenham scouts also attended the game, though it is unclear which player they were scouting. According to reports, the former Chelsea striker could be ‘the object of desire’.
Tottenham needs a regular scoring partner for Harry Kane, and Abraham could be a fantastic fit.
The 25-year-old could be enticed to return to the Premier League, and a move to Tottenham Hotspur could be a fantastic opportunity for him.
Abraham will be trying to establish himself as a regular starter for the England national team in the future seasons, and success at Tottenham with Kane may increase his chances of doing so.
