Tottenham are getting closer to signing another player, this time Dutch defender Micky van de Ven.
Van de Ven has emerged as a target for a number of clubs as the summer progressed, and it now appears that Tottenham will win the race.
According to Sky Sports, citing The Mirror’s John Cross, the defender has accepted terms with Tottenham and is ready to go to north London.
According to Sky, all that remains is for Tottenham to complete the transaction by agreeing on the final amount and payment terms with Wolsburg.
The ‘outstanding’ Dutch defender has been scouted by Liverpool and Arsenal and is believed to cost Tottenham £30 million.
Tottenham are already making significant moves in the transfer season. Van de Ven appears to be following in the footsteps of Ange Postecoglou after signing James Maddison last week.
