Spur to sign best €50m attacking midfielder in world cup 3 times better than Busquets

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly renewed their interest in Sofyan Amrabat.

Spurs and the Moroccan international have a long history together.

Tottenham are reportedly looking to him again as the transfer window approaches.

According to Foot Mercato, Spurs are ‘seeking to overcome the rivals’ in the fight for the Fiorentina star.

Tottenham will face off against Barcelona, who are said to be the frontrunners for Amrabat’s services.

Xavi is said to have chatted with the 26-year-old as a potential successor for Sergio Busquets.

However, because to Barcelona’s ongoing financial difficulties, a move for Amrabat isn’t as simple as they’d want.

With all in mind, Tottenham may be optimistic about finally bringing a long-term aim to N17.

Furthermore, the Spurs may not have to pay a high price for Amrabat.

Fiorentina are apparently looking for €25-30 million (about £22-26 million) for their midfielder.

‘Very impressive.’

Although there have been links between Tottenham and Amrabat for some time, this summer could be a suitable moment for him to depart.

Spurs are in need of reinforcements after a particularly poor season in which they finished eighth.

Meanwhile, Amrabat is in his prime and has excelled for both club and country.

He led Fiorentina to the Europa Conference League final and Morocco to the World Cup semi-finals in December.

Indeed, Football Transfers dubbed him the “World Cup’s best midfielder,” and there was a strong case to be made.

They added, “Amrabat has been arguably the best central midfielder at the 2022 World Cup.”

‘And a significant player for a Moroccan side that has surprised everyone by reaching the semi-finals.

‘He delivered world-class performances in triumphs over Belgium in the groups, Spain in the last-16, and Portugal in the quarter-finals.

‘His collaboration with another breakout talent, Azzedine Ounahi, has been enormously stunning.’

There have also been similarities drawn between Amrabat and Busquets, including one made by Football Talent Scout ten years ago.

Overall, Amrabat appears to be a good option for Spurs.
