Tottenham Hotspur could outbid Juventus for Atalanta forward Atalanta midfielder
Hojlund has shown a lot of promise since joining Atalanta last summer, with the center-forward scoring seven goals and providing two assists in Serie A this season (Transfermarkt).
Big things are expected of the 20-year-old, who has been dubbed the “next Haaland” by some.
According to CMW. Juventus has prioritized a move for the Atalanta starlet this summer to cash in on Dusan Vlahovic after his underwhelming performances this season.
The Old Lady’s pursuit of Hojlund, however, may be complicated by Tottenham’s involvement, as the Lilywhites are also said to be fans of the Dane.
According to the report, Spurs may decide to pursue a move for the former Copenhagen youngster, particularly if they lose Harry Kane, and that the Premier League club would be able to outbid Juve due to the fee they would receive for the England captain.
Even if Tottenham were to sell Kane, which is far from certain, the club would prefer to replace the 29-year-old with a proven top-flight striker rather than a promising youngster like Hojlund.
In fact, if Kane leaves, Vlahovic might not be a bad option for Spurs to pursue.
