Tottenham and Harry Kane have reached an agreement on his contract.
Tottenham and its star striker, Harry Kane, have reached an agreement on what will happen next with the England captain’s contract.
Kane’s future at Tottenham is once again in jeopardy with the departure of Antonio Conte. It has forced the record goalscorer to reconsider his future, as ENIC and Daniel Levy have yet to pick a new management.
And, according to 90Min, the lack of a managerial appointment is actually helping to keep things civil for the time being.
Discussions
Kane’s contract is set to expire at the end of the next season. At the moment, Kane is making little noise about leaving Tottenham and is focused on getting the club back into the top four.
However, with Bayern Munich on the horizon, an apparent lack of dialogue and progress will worry some Spurs fans.
But, according to 90Min, Kane and Tottenham are now on the same page. According to reports, Kane and Spurs have agreed to halt talks until a new permanent manager is chosen. Kane and the club will then analyze the situation and reach a decision.
Of course, that leaves the door open for Kane to potentially move on. And that, it must be said, has always been the big worry.
Kane and Spurs face a difficult decision after refusing to allow him leave Manchester City when it was evident he was open to a move.
Does he stay with the club, sign a new contract, and finally hope to win that trophy? In doing so, he will almost certainly become the all-time Premier League top scorer, and winning that one title will mean everything to him.
However, if he does not sign a new contract, the Spurs may want to cash in. And if he isn’t, where will he go? Bayern is appealing. But so are Manchester United and Chelsea.
