Tottenham has decide to listen to £15m offers from club to sign defender this summer

Tottenham will consider bids for defender Ben Davies this summer regardless of who their next manager is, according to Football Insider.

The Wales international, 30, has two years left on his contract with the Lilywhites.

Spurs, on the other hand, recognize the necessity for a massive overhaul of the core of the team, which has performed so poorly this season.

The north London team is seventh in the standings following a disappointing 2022-23 season, with the club’s defensive performances drawing particular criticism.

According to a reliable source, Tottenham will cash in if they receive a £15 million bid for Davies during the summer transfer window.

During the 2022-23 season, he started 25 Premier League games and made 39 appearances in all competitions.

Despite Davies’ ability as a left-back, the great majority of his appearances have been as a centre-back.

He has recently taken up a full-back position under interim manager Ryan Mason, who has Spurs set up with a four-man defense.

Davies joined Tottenham Hotspur from Swansea City in 2014, signing a five-year deal.

His most recent contract extension was signed last summer (2022), with his current deal paying him £80,000 per week.

The 77-cap Wales international has made 310 appearances for Tottenham, scoring eight goals and assisting on 24 occasions.

On the final day of the season this Sunday (28 May), he could play his farewell match for the club, an away fixture against relegation-threatened Leeds United.

Tottenham’s manager hunt has been thrown into disarray this week, with Arne Slot publicly proclaiming his allegiance to Feyenoord despite Spurs’ well-documented desire.
