Giulio Tedeschi, an Italian football agent, has stated that Tottenham could be interested in signing Arthur Cabral as a substitute for Harry Kane, but he also stated that the Fiorentina star could be only one of several names on the Premier League club’s wishlist.
The rumor tying Kane to a move to Bayern Munich grows, with many outlets now claiming that Tottenham will sell the striker this summer if he does not sign a new contract (Daily Mail).
Goal Brasil reported a few days ago that if Spurs lose the England captain, they will shift their focus to Cabral, saying that the North London club has already contacted Fiorentina to inquire about the Brazilian’s availability.
According to the source, the 25-year-old, who scored 17 goals in all competitions last season, is valued by the Viola at roughly €40 million (£34.6 million), and Spurs have already spoken to the player’s representation about a prospective transfer.
Cabral’s agent believes he is worth close to €40 million (£34.3 million).
Tedeschi believes that if Kane does transfer to Bavaria in the coming weeks, Cabral might be on his way to Tottenham.
When questioned if the speculation linking the Fiorentina star with a move to Tottenham is true, the Italian agent told Firenzeviola: “There is a waltz of the strikers.” If Kane were to go, he would leave a gap that would be tough to fill.
“Every year there are reports and then he stays. However, Bayern Munich are getting serious about the English striker. Cabral has different characteristics, but he’s not the only name on the list. It can be a gamble.”
“His contract expires in 2023, and this is a guarantee for Viola,” Tedeschi stated when asked how much the Lilywhites would be willing to pay for Cabral.
“In my opinion, he is a player worth close to 40 million euros, even with certain bonuses.” If this were true for this interest, I would endeavor to get as much as I could.”
Spurs Online Opinion
Spurs’ interest in Cabral does not imply that a deal for the Fiorentina player is imminent.
The Brazilian is likely one of many centre-forwards identified by Tottenham as potential successors for Kane, whose departure from N17 is becoming increasingly imminent.
