Telegraph Sport runs a rule over the present team and the approaching summer clear-out before of the appointment of Tottenham’s next manager.
Tottenham Hotspur’s season ended in disarray, and with a second interim manager in charge, there is question over who will be in the squad next season, when Daniel Levy wants to have a permanent appointment.
Last summer, Levy spent more over £150 million and brought in loans for Antonio Conte, whose assessment on his squad before leaving was harsh. Spurs’ incoming manager is expected to request some fresh faces, which will necessitate the release of players in order to balance the books.
With a new manager and director of football Fabio Paratici leaving the club last week following his Fifa punishment for false accounting while at Juventus, it will be a difficult summer in the transfer market.
They have players who have been in the top four at stretches of the season but can also collapse dramatically, like they did against Newcastle United at the weekend.
