Tottenham has finally signed £16m star that has the same agent as Hojbjerg

Tottenham Hotspur require reinforcements after such a disappointing season.

Spurs entered the 2022-23 season hoping to compete in the Premier League or the FA Cup.

Instead, they went trophyless once more, finishing eighth in the table and missing out on Europe.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager.

Spurs will finally attempt to bring in new signings now that there is a bit more certainty at N17.

One man Tottenham is considering could be just what they need to strengthen their defensive lines.

Last week, BI LD reported that the Spurs were interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.

This week, Sky Sport Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg delivered another update.

He claims that “many clubs” are interested in Tah, who supposedly has a €18 million (£16 million) release clause.

While Plettenberg did not specify Tottenham, he did indicate that London rivals West Ham are interested.

Tottenham have a fantastic opportunity to sign an experienced, gifted, and ‘dominant’ defender for a low sum.

At 27, the 6ft 4in colossus is in his prime and has extensive experience at the highest level.

Tah has almost 300 senior appearances for Leverkusen and 16 Germany caps.

He is an extremely gifted player, and his height and physicality would serve him well in the Premier League.

There have been comparisons to Virgil van Dijk and Dayot Upamecano, two of the top defenders in the world.

Spurs may have an advantage because Tah is represented by the same agency as Lilywhites midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Gol International).

However, according to BILD, Tah’s provision “must be triggered by the beginning of July,” or his price will become freely negotiable.

Tottenham must act quickly if they want to beat their rival suitors and the clock in bringing the German to N17.
