The Frenchman’s contract expires next year.

According to journalist Wayne Veysey, Tottenham star Hugo Lloris is “set to join a new club this summer” and Spurs will not stand in his way.

Along with the search for a new manager, Tottenham are without a sporting director following Fabio Paratici’s resignation, with Levy speeding up efforts to replace him before the end of the Premier League season.

On the field, both Harry Kane and Lloris might leave Tottenham for free next year, causing concern for the club, with the former in particular standing out as a vital, pivotal player.

In regards of the latter, he has excelled for the club for almost a decade, but Tottenham have apparently determined he can depart as early as this summer.

According to Football Insider and reporter Veysey, the Frenchman is “set to join a new club this summer” and Spurs will allow him to depart after receiving a “jaw-dropping” offer from the Middle East.

Unnamed Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly interested in Lloris, while premier European clubs are also thought to be interested.

Despite being regarded in high regard at Spurs, the 36-year-old is supposedly free to explore pastures new with only a year left on his contract.

Lloris has made 447 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions since joining from Lyon in 2012, preserving over 150 clean sheets in that time (Transfermarkt).

Kane may have summed up his captain’s role well in a recent BBC interview, prior to England’s encounter with France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Kane stated:

His presence as an experienced figurehead in the Spurs dressing room will undoubtedly be difficult to replace, and Levy is now in charge of finding a replacement.
