Following his recent criticisms of the club and its players, Tottenham Hotspur has announced that Antonio Conte has left the club by mutual consent. The 53-year-old Italian coach has been fired following a disappointing tenure in charge.

Tottenham was eliminated from both the Champions League and the FA Cup in the same week earlier this month. They dropped crucial points in the race for fourth place last weekend when they conceded two goals in the final 13 minutes of their match against Southampton, despite leading 3-1 at the time.
The outcome was the last straw for Antonio Conte, who expressed his displeasure with the players and the club’s hierarchy in his post-match press conference. The zealous coach even suggested that his dismissal would have no effect.
During the announcement on Sunday, club chairman Daniel Levy emphasized the importance of working together to achieve the best possible finish in the remaining Premier League games. He also expressed gratitude for Conte’s contributions, including securing Champions League qualification in his first season, in the statement.
“We have 10 Premier League games left and we’re fighting for a Champions League spot,” he said. “We must all work together.” Everyone must pitch in to ensure that our club achieves the best possible finish.
Cristian Stellini, Conte’s assistant, will lead the team for the rest of the season, with Ryan Mason serving as an assistant head coach.
