Tottenham Hotspur and Stuttgart in agreement as spur with Borna Sosa’s agent to meet in few days

Borna Sosa is said to be in talks with Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, and Stuttgart have already found a replacement for their Bundesliga assist-machine.

Ivan Perisic may have started his Tottenham debut season with five league assists, but many Tottenham fans will tell you that the numbers do not quite distract from what has been an underwhelming run of form from a man who recently celebrated his 34th birthday.

The departure of Antonio Conte, who championed Perisic’s arrival after they worked together at Inter Milan, raises concerns about the Croatian’s future in North London. Especially since BILD reporter Christian Falk claimed in his Caught Offside column that Tottenham have begun talks with another left-footed wideman who made his name in German football.

Sosa, who is almost a decade Perisic’s junior, has scored 29 goals since the start of the 2020/21 season. His excellent delivery from the flanks has been compared to David Beckham.

If Harry Kane stays, Spurs’ number 10 could form a fearsome partnership with a man who can hit a powerball from two streets away.

Stuttgart is last in the table. The prospect of relegation, combined with the club’s ongoing financial problems, means Sosa is almost certain to leave, with the player himself indicating that a fresh start at Tottenham would be appealing.

“This summer could be the time for a new breakthrough,” Dalmatinski Portal quotes Sosa, who was a standout performer in Croatia’s third-place finish at the Qatar World Cup.

“I’m hoping to stay healthy through the end of the season.” And I’m hoping to reach an agreement with the club. Personally, I’d like to see the Premier League once. It is the world’s best league.”

Sky reports that Stuttgart is leaving nothing to chance.

Derrick Kohn of Hannover 96 is a target for the Schwabians. The former Germany U19 international is thinking about making a summer move of his own. Kohn, on the other hand, would have big shoes to fill at the Mercedes Benz Arena.

“Borna has stated that David Beckham is his role model,” says Stuttgart’s former sporting director Sven Mislintat to BILD. “And I believe he possesses the same qualities.”

“He inserts crosses from every angle.” Sometimes it’s chipped, sometimes it’s drilled, sometimes it’s flat, sometimes it’s in behind, sometimes it’s to the front post, sometimes it’s to the back post. His left foot is an absolute weapon.”
