Tottenham open full negotiations with Galatasaray to sign €15m 27-year-old centre-back

Galatasaray have begun talks with Tottenham over the acquisition of Davinson Sanchez.

According to journalist Mehmet Ozcan, Galatasaray have begun conversations with Tottenham Hotspur over a prospective sale of Davinson Sanchez, and the Colombian defender might be on his way out.

Ozcan has claimed that talks between Galatasaray and Tottenham for the signing of Sanchez have begun. The Turkish club is interested in signing the 27-year-old center-back.

They allegedly made an initial offer of €9 million. Spurs, on the other hand, look to be hanging out for a fee closer to €15 million, underlining their trust in Sanchez’s worth. They intend to reclaim as much as possible from the player.

Sanchez’s time at Tottenham has been marred by inconsistency, so it’s no surprise that the club is open to bids for him this summer. The Colombian international has struggled to make an impression.

Tottenham have been connected with numerous central defenders in recent weeks, indicating their desire to bolster their defensive line. With talks between Galatasaray and Spurs ongoing, it could be an attempt to clear out some dead wood.

Sanchez’s reputation preceded him when he arrived at Tottenham from Ajax, and he was met with great hopes. Regrettably, his progress has fallen short of the great expectations.

Davinson Sanchez’s departure from Tottenham provides an opportunity to relaunch his career. The 27-year-old has enormous potential and, given the appropriate circumstances, has the ability to become a significant player for another team.

A change of environment could be just what he needs to restore his confidence and recapture the sharpness that made him so popular in Europe during his time at Ajax. Tottenham, unfortunately, has not been his calling.
