For many years, De Gea has been the undisputed number one at Old Trafford. The Spanish international began his career at Atlético Madrid’s youth academy. He progressed through the club’s ranks before joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2011.
Erik ten Hag was concerned about the United goalkeeper’s performance in the first half of the season. But he has recovered and is now enjoying his football at the Manchester-based club. In 42 appearances this season, the 32-year-old has 18 clean sheets.
