Tottenham representatives will be watching Sporting CP play Benfica this Saturday, according to Correio da Manha via Sport Witness.

The north Londoners are rumoured to be interested in winger Marcus Edwards, gifted playmaker Pedro Goncalves, and Sporting manager Ruben Amorim. Edwards previously played for the Lillywhites, progressing through the club’s academy until joining Vitoria de Guimaraes in the summer of 2019.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Lucas Moura will depart the club at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season when his contract expires.

After his departure was confirmed, the Brazilian addressed an emotional goodbye to followers in a video posted to the Lillywhites’ official Twitter account. “Wherever I am, my Spurs, my heart will always be here.” “You are my club,” Lucas declared.

“It has been an honor to defend this badge.” Every flick, tackle, leap, and goal counts. Some evenings will go down in history as nights we will never forget.

“No matter where I go, I will always love you.” We’ll talk again. Come on, Spurs!”

The new chair and vice-chairs of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust have spoken out about the club’s owners and board’s failures, but they hope to have a role in how Spurs are run.

“They say if you put four football fans in a room, you’ll get five opinions, but it’s clear that no matter how many Spurs fans you put in a room, they’d all agree that times have been difficult lately,” the statement said. “That applies both on and off the field; the two are inextricably linked.” As spectators, we have little direct influence over what happens on the field. We can, however, affect how the club is operated so that there is a better likelihood of success on the field.

“We’re all aware that standards on the field have fallen. Our icon, Harry Kane, recently stated what many fans have been thinking when he stated that the club had lost’some ideals’ since the Mauricio Pochettino era. Nobody could possibly disagree with that.”
