Tottenham switch all attentions away from Vlahovic to sign 40-cap forward faster than Kane

Tottenham are still looking for a replacement for Harry Kane and have Lille’s Jonathan David in mind, according to writer Rudy Galetti.

David has long been a target for a number of English clubs following his electrifying success in recent seasons in France.

However, a transfer never occurred, with David remaining at Lille and clubs maintaining him on their lengthy lists of potential recruits.

Tottenham is one of the clubs that has him on their most recent list. David is a player Tottenham considers an option if Harry Kane left, according to Galetti via his Twitter account.

David has 40 caps for Canada and is part of a new generation of Canadian footballers creating a name for themselves in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old attacker can play in all attacking positions if necessary and has previously been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Surprisingly, David is faster than another Tottenham target, Dusan Vlahovic, according to the Speeds Database.

The Serbian striker is rumored to be on Spurs’ radar, with the striker set to leave Juventus this summer.

Tottenham, of course, may need to move quickly if Harry Kane does truly join Bayern this summer.

Kane’s quick replacement

Although he is not the same type of player as Harry Kane, Jonathan David would undoubtedly get the Tottenham fans on their feet.

This is a player with lightning-quick feet and a keen eye for goal. He is already a proven commodity in France, and the next step is for him to replicate it in a more difficult league.

Tottenham’s forward line would benefit from David’s speed, movement, and trickery. While replacing Kane will be a tall order, the Canadian could come in handy.
