Tottenham win the race at last as player finally agree on £30m five years deal to join spur

According to Football Insider, Micky van de Ven has accepted personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a possible move to the North London club.

Fabrizio Romano stated earlier this week that Spurs are ‘advancing’ in their negotiations with Wolfsburg over Van de Ven, with the journalist adding that an agreement is now ‘near’.

The Daily Mirror reported a few days ago that Ange Postecoglou is ‘sure’ Tottenham would complete a deal for the Dutchman.

According to the most recent report from Football Insider, Van de Ven has agreed to a five-year contract with Tottenham, who are thought to be hopeful that a deal will be reached.

However, the report states that the Lilywhites and Wolfsburg have yet to reach a final agreement on a transfer fee, with the two clubs reported to be debating the framework of the deal.

Spurs are reportedly willing to spend £25 million for the 22-year-old, while the Bundesliga club is demanding approximately £30 million.

Tottenham also has alternative left center-back targets on their list if the deal falls through, with Edmond Tapsoba being one of them, according to the publication.

If it is true that there is only a difference of around £5m in the valuations of the two clubs, I expect Tottenham to get the deal over the line quickly so that Van de Ven can link up the squad for pre-season in Australia or Asia.
