Tottenham’s new coach promotes young 17 years sparkling midfield genus to senior team

Tottenham Hotspur have been preparing for Saturday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth.

Tottenham Hotspur will look to capitalize on their 2-1 success over Brighton last time out.

Tottenham trail fourth-placed Manchester United by three points, with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, the 15th-placed Cherries will try to distance themselves from the bottom three.

The Tottenham Hotspur media team released images from their most recent training session at Hotspur Way on Thursday.

Rio Kyerematen, an academy star, participated in the training alongside the senior players.

This season, Kyerematen has been superb for Tottenham’s Under-18s.

The 17-year-old has four goals and five assists from 14 Under-18 Premier League 2 appearances.

It’s even more impressive given that he primarily plays in central midfield.

‘BEAUTIFUL MIDFIELDER’

Kyerematen was compared to Christian Eriksen by the Tottenham media team last month.

Spurs’ Under-18 Premier League Cup semi-final winner had been scored by the kid.

Tottenham’s media staff linked the game to the Spurs senior team’s 2015 League Cup semi-final second-leg draw at Bramall Lane.

Christian Eriksen scored a brace, including an 88th-minute goal, to balance out Che Adams’ two-goal performance.

Spurs advanced to the final against Chelsea after a 2-2 draw and a 1-0 triumph in north London.

‘It was eerily reminiscent of the 2015 League Cup campaign at first team level,’ began the Tottenham media team.

‘We had a challenging semi-final away to Sheffield United in the snow, where a late goal from a particular midfield maestro secured our place in the final.

‘This time, it was another graceful midfielder in Kyerematen who delivered as we advanced to the showpiece final against Aston Villa in a few weeks.’

It’s encouraging to see the Spurs coaches giving Kyerematen more and more chances to train with the senior club.

He has outgrown the Under-18s and will almost certainly be in the Under-21s next season.

Indeed, who knows if Kyerematen has already been designated for an EFL loan move?
