Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a transfer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who Rio Ferdinand believes has had a better season than Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
This summer, Spurs are still looking for a new manager and sporting director. No additions are expected until both of those positions are completed, but that hasn’t stopped rumours associating players with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The latest speculation today suggests that Tottenham are interested in signing Osimhen this summer, and Rio Ferdinand appears to be a fan of the Napoli striker.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Tottenham is one of the clubs interested in signing Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen when the transfer window opens this summer.
The Nigerian is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in the world.
He recently helped Napoli win their first Scudetto in over three decades and reach the Champions League quarterfinals, scoring 28 goals and giving five assists across all competitions.
Almost every major club in the world would like to sign Osimhen this summer, and Tottenham are rumoured to be one of them, with Harry Kane’s future uncertain.
Rio Ferdinand, who has seen a lot of Osimhen this season, was asked to compare the Nigerian’s and Marcus Rashford’s performances.
Surprisingly, the Manchester United veteran favored the Napoli player.
