Two Tottenham academy stars on the verge of being handed first team opportunities after impressing Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham’s emerging stars Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear are edging closer to earning first-team opportunities under manager Ange Postecoglou, having impressed during pre-season.

According to a report from Alasdair Gold of Football London, Postecoglou has been particularly encouraged by the progress of both Moore and Lankshear, with their strong summer performances underscoring their potential readiness to contribute at the senior level.

Moore, who recently penned his first professional contract with Spurs, has been a standout within the club’s academy.

Since joining Tottenham as an under-9, Moore has consistently advanced through the ranks. His remarkable form in the U18 Premier League last season, where he tallied 14 goals and eight assists in just 12 games, has highlighted his significant impact and potential.

Lankshear, another academy prospect, has also solidified his case for first-team consideration. The young forward’s impressive goal-scoring record in the Premier League 2 last season, with 23 goals in 23 appearances, has captured the attention of both the coaching staff and supporters.

His clinical finishing and reliability in front of goal have made him one of the most promising talents emerging from the academy.

With Tottenham facing a demanding season across various competitions, Postecoglou is likely to offer Moore and Lankshear opportunities to prove themselves on a bigger stage.

Both players have shown they are ready to take the next step, and their ongoing development could see them play vital roles in Tottenham Hotspur’s future success.
