Two more Tottenham players to leave spur as Ange Postecoglou list them out of favour

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is prepared to lead his new team to his homeland for the first part of their summer pre-season tour this week.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that a handful of Tottenham Hotspur players may miss their pre-season tour group, which departs for Perth on Friday.

In the next two weeks, the 57-year-old will lead his team to Australia, Thailand, and Singapore for his first three matches as head coach. However, for a number of reasons, certain members of his Tottenham squad will be left behind when the flight departs on Friday.

Postecoglou stated to football.london that several players will be unable to travel to his motherland due to injury, with two players ruled out completely.

“We do have a couple of [injured] players; obviously, Rodrigo Bentancur has his injury and is still a little off.” “Fraser Forster has a back injury, so he won’t be able to travel or participate,” he explained. “There are a couple of others who are in limbo right now.”

“We’ll see how things go over the next few days.” For me, I’d like to bring as many members of the group as possible because it’s the greatest way to figure out how we set up our environment and sort of the culture around the group if everyone is present. However, if it is advantageous for some guys to remain behind, we will make that decision. I don’t think there will be very many people in that boat right now.”

According to sources, Djed Spence and Troy Parrott are among the Spurs players battling to be fit for the tour after suffering knee and groin ailments, respectively.

The majority of the international players return this week to Hotspur Way and Postecoglou will have to decide which of the squad members who have uncertain futures at the club will be allowed to remain in England to find new clubs.

Club captain Hugo Lloris has publicly declared that he is looking for a new challenge and could be allowed to miss the tour in order to find his next move.

Others including Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso could be handed the opportunity to remain and look for regular football next season while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with leaving the club this summer, with Atletico Madrid among the clubs interested in the Denmark international, as has Ivan Perisic.

One player who Postecoglou told football.london he has been impressed with in his first week of pre-season is Tanguy Ndombele, who has returned from his loan season at Napoli.

“Tanguy has been excellent. “He’s working hard at training; to be fair, they all are; they don’t have a choice,” he remarked. “Once again, I take things as they come.” For me, he is obviously a very gifted footballer; he was part of the team that won Serie A last year, and I am delighted to have him here and part of the group.

“I won’t get into the specifics of what that means in the long run because a lot of it will depend on how the team shapes up and how he shapes up.”

“He might decide that this isn’t for him.” I’m not certain. As I previously stated, the group I have worked with thus far has been excellent at embracing the change in direction and the way we are doing things. As I previously stated, once we have all of the other men in, it would be fantastic to see how everyone compares, and choices about who will be engaged and who will not will be made from there.”
