Iowa State superstar Caitlin Clark made college basketball history Sunday by breaking Pete Maravich’s NCAA Division I player scoring record. Adding to his performance was a blowout win over No. 2 Ohio State. Nike found a super cool way to celebrate Clark’s record-breaking career, but the junior guard, who will be heading to the WNBA after the season, wants to be remembered for his time with the Hawkeyes and how Clark’s game shared a powerful message about University.

“A record is a record,” Clark said. “I don’t want that to be what people remember me for, I want them to remember me with a smile on my face and the way I played and my competitive spirit. They remember not only the wins, but also the fun my teammates and I had together.

Clark and the Hawkeyes, ranked No. 6 nationally, are next scheduled to play at 6:30 p.m. ET Friday at the Big Ten Tournament in Minneapolis. No. 2 seed Iowa will face the winner of No. 7 seed Penn State and No. 10 seed Wisconsin.
