DEAL CONFIRMED: English professional midfielder signs new five-year deal with Leeds Utd

Jack Harrison, a winger for Leeds United, has agreed to a new five-year contract that will keep him at the West Yorkshire team through 2028.

Harrison first joined the Whites from Manchester City on an initial loan contract in 2018, and he later established himself as a crucial member of the team that ensured Leeds’ promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in the 2019–20 campaign.

In the end, the Englishman’s deal was made permanent, and Harrison received a three-year contract in 2021.

Rumors about the 26-year-future old’s started to circulate as his contract started to expire, and they were only fueled by a dramatic January 2023 transfer Deadline Day in which a deal from Leeds to Leicester fell through in the closing stages.

When Javi Gracia, 52, took over at Elland Road, Harrison has found his game again, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

In a statement released by Leeds, director of football Victor Orta said, “Jack is an important element of our team and our plans going ahead and I’m incredibly glad he has agreed to commit his long-term future to the club.”

“He is one of the most professional athletes I have ever encountered in my career,” the author said. “He has an outstanding mentality and only wants to keep getting better. I know we will see him at his best over the course of the next five years.”

When the Leeds Whites play Crystal Palace on Sunday, the Leeds management will be hoping that their faith in Harrison is rewarded with a continuation of his remarkable present form.
