According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (see below), Pioli will likely remain with a 4-2-3-1 formation with Mike Maignan in goal and Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori, and Theo Hernandez in the back four.
The central midfield trio of Rade Krunic, Sandro Tonali, and Ismael Bennacer, who played so well against Napoli in the quarter-final, should be used again, with the Algerian somewhat ahead of the other two.
Because Rafael Leao’s fitness is in doubt, Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers have been named as the right and left wingers, respectively, with Olivier Giroud as the center-forward.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Brahim Diaz, Bennacer, Saelemaekers; Giroud.
Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Unripe, Sticks; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Martinez
