The £36 million star is a ‘exciting name’ to be linked to Aston Villa.
Aston Villa being connected to players like Hirving Lozano is ‘exciting’ at Villa Park, according to writer Dean Jones.
Following qualification for European football, the Midlands club may opt to shop in a different market during the summer transfer window.
Hirving Lozano has joined Aston Villa on loan.
Lozano joined Napoli in 2019 for a then-club-record fee of £36 million.
According to FBref, Lozano started 20 league games for the Italian club this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
Now, however, he appears to be on his way out the door.
Lozano is said to have been offered to Chelsea, with Arsenal and Newcastle United also keen.
Alessandro Monfrecola, Lozano’s former advisor, has stated that a move to Aston Villa or West Ham United would be a suitable fit for his former client.
“West Ham’s proposal for Lozano?” he said. If Lozano departs Napoli, I believe he will join an English team. Rumours emanating from Mexico indicate that English clubs are interested. I believe Aston Villa or West Ham will be the best fit for Lozano.”
Villa are at an exciting period after qualifying for Europe under Unai Emery’s direction.
Jones has argued that Lozano is an exciting name for Villa fans to be associated with.
“Yeah, Lozano is an exciting name to be associated with,” he told GIVEMESPORT. This is the best aspect of playing for Aston Villa in this window. The problem of being an Aston Villa supporter is undoubtedly the reality of which ones are actually followed through with becoming transfers, despite all the anticipation that comes with every transfer speculation.
That will be the most challenging component of this, not only for fans but also for journalists. You’ll have to assess the credibility of each rumour.”
Although Lozano hasn’t been at his best this season, he’s proven to be a terrific winger throughout the years.
According to Transfermarkt, the Mexican has 113 goals and 71 assists in 383 career games.
Because Villa will be playing in Europe next season, their fixture schedule will be demanding, therefore having extra depth will be critical.
The 27-year-old is also capable of breaking into the starting lineup rather than simply being a squad player at Villa Park.
