Liverpool board tip Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann as perfect Klopp’s replacement

Julian Nagelsmann is being mentioned as a possible replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, with the belief that he would jump at the chance.According to a report from Caught Offside, Klopp’s position in the Anfield dugout is now in jeopardy.

It has been suggested that Klopp‘s future was discussed prior to Real Madrid’s 5-2 Champions League humiliation on Tuesday night.

After nearly eight years in charge, Klopp would allegedly be given the option to resign as a mark of respect for his legacy at anfield.

According to the report, Nagelsmann has been identified as a potential successor, and sources believe he would jump at the opportunity to manage Liverpool.

The 35-year-old has been in charge of Bayern for nearly two years, but his work in Bavaria has not been universally praised.

Nagelsmann, who is still highly regarded in the game, would be a huge coup for Liverpool if they were to pursue him when Klopp leaves the club.

We understand – the loss to Real Madrid was disastrous.

Losing 5-2 after leading 2-0 was a disaster, and Liverpool’s defending was appalling.

However, it’s easy to forget that many people thought Liverpool were ‘back’ before this game after strong victories over Everton and Newcastle United.

Liverpool’s season has been up and down, and the truth is that this Reds team isn’t quite good enough to compete with Real Madrid right now.

Rather than being replaced this summer, Klopp should be allowed to build a new Liverpool team and usher in a new era at Anfield.

We can see the appeal of going with Nagelsmann, whom Klopp has admitted he admires.

However, a move to replace Klopp appears unlikely, and luring Nagelsmann away from Bayern – even with some doubters in Munich – also appears unlikely.
