Al Nassr FC finally cancel former striker’s contract to register Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club, Al Nassr, has canceled Vincent Aboubakar’s contract in order to create room for the Portuguese international, who will make his debut for the Saudi Arabian club.

Because league laws restrict clubs from signing more than eight international players, Aboubakar will leave the club.

Al Nassr understood that by bringing in Ronaldo, they would have to let go of one of their best players.

According to French media, Aboubakar and the club decided to terminate his contract and pay him.

Ronaldo can now officially register to play for Al-Nassr as a result of his departure, although he probably won’t make his much-anticipated debut until January 22.

Following Manchester United’s loss against Everton in 2022, the 37-year-old was given a two-game suspension and now has to serve it. He did this after snatching a cell phone from a 14-year-old’s hands.

He completed the first game of his suspension in his team’s 2-0 victory over Al-Ta’ee on Friday. He will be unavailable for his team’s derby against Al-Shabab on January 14.

The Portuguese star is expected to make his debut against Ettifaq in the forthcoming home fixture.

It should be noted that Cristiano signed for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in a deal for more than 200 million euros.

The 37-year-old signed a contract extension until June 2025.
