Tottenham have today confirmed the signing of Croatian teenager Luka Vuskovic, with Liverpool reportedly interested in the defender.
The north London side announced on their official website that an agreement had been reached with the 16-year-old defender, with the Evening Standard reporting that the transfer fee is around £12m.
The same report states that Liverpool were keeping tabs on Vuskovic, however, it’s Tottenham who have won the defender’s signature, ahead of the likes of PSG and Manchester City.
Although Vuskovic won’t be joining Tottenham until 2025, Ange Postecoglou’s side confirming the deal is a significant move from Spurs, especially with the north London side facing Liverpool this weekend.
Indeed, the defender is regarded by many as one of the most exciting prospects in all of Europe, and Liverpool losing out to Tottenham for Vuskovic will sting for the Reds.
