Leeds United are being linked with an ambitious move to sign a Borussia Dortmund star on a free transfer this summer if promoted, but a report states where he wants to move next.
The focus at Elland Road right now will be Sunday afternoon and Wembley, as The Whites do battle with Southampton for a place in the Premier League but the board will be preparing for all eventualities
Should Leeds fail to beat Russell Martin’s side, then Leeds are likely to have to sell players in order for The 49ers to comply with Financial Fairplay and balance the books, that means one or two key stars may go.
But if Leeds go up, then Leeds will be under no pressure to sell and can bring in a higher calibre of player. Dortmund and Germany defender Marius Wolf is the latest to be linked if Leeds do go and get promoted.
Wolf is the latest of a few high-profile players to be linked with Leeds if promoted, such as Newcastle star Sean Longstaff or Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek. Wolf is out of contract at the end of the season.
Reports state that Leeds have made an enquiry to sign the 28-year-old right-back, but Ruhr Nachrichten now say where Wolf wants to play his football next season – and it is not the Premier League.
