AC Milan has already begun planning for next season, which has sparked a flurry of transfer rumors. One of their priorities is the right-wing position, and Edon Zhegrova is one of their targets.
Zhegrova plays for Lille and has scored four goals this season while also assisting on five others. The 24-year-old was born in Germany but plays for Kosovo, making him the first Kosovan to play for Milan.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan are interested in the player and might take advantage of their strong relationship with Lille, even though no negotiations have yet begun. Given his youth (and the fact that he is also left-footed), he could be the ideal replacement for Junior Messias.
The rumour began yesterday, when Kosovan journalist Arlind Sadiku wrote: “San Siro is expected to be the’second home’ of one of the Kosovo national team’s players from next summer.”
According to the Gazzetta report, Sadiku is most likely referring to Zhegrova, based on what Milan is seeking for this summer.
