According to a report, AC Milan is still interested in signing centre-back Evan N’Dicka when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Milan have three of the league’s best young defenders in Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, and Malick Thiaw at centre-back, but there are doubts about Simon Kjaer’s ability to contribute consistently and Matteo Gabbia’s place in the squad.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan have never given up on signing N’Dicka from Eintracht Frankfurt, having been linked with him in previous window, and now that his contract is about to expire, the opportunity is even greater.
However, Milan are not the only club interested in the 23-year-old Frenchman, as Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool are also interested.
“Evan Ndicka is one of the names they are considering, but not the only one,” Romano wrote in his CaughtOffside column. There are four or five clubs interested in signing Ndicka as a free agent, and I’m sure Liverpool will have a long list of players on their wish list as they look to strengthen their defense.”
