AC Milan now have major concerns regarding £4m Nottingham Forest striker

According to Calciomercato, the Milanese club are hoping to get him off of their wage budget. Forest have signed the player until the end of the season and negotiated an option to buy him for £4 million.

Origi came to Forest with a reputation as a bit of a big game player. During his time with Liverpool, he often came up trumps on big European nights and scored in the Champions League Final in 2019.

AC Milan worried Forest won’t sign Origi

It’s not really been all sweetness and light for the Belgium international just yet at Forest. He’s yet to start a game in Steve Cooper’s team and after just 58 minutes of action, Origi is now injured.

The problem that he’s picked up isn’t thought to be serious but it has come at the worst possible time. With Taiwo Awoniyi out of action, he could have stepped up to the starting eleven but now he’s sidelined.

Calciomercato claims that AC Milan are getting a little bit anxious. They’re desperate for Forest to sign him permanently next summer, with the Serie A club keen to get his £70,000-a-week wage off their books.

Origi will hope to impress Cooper when he returns

At 28-years-old, the player will know that he should be playing regularly now and that’s what he will want to do at Forest. Origi is currently out injured but there is still time.

The striker knows the Premier League exceptionally well. Origi was signed by Forest as someone who can add experience and it would be harsh to judge him on less than an hour of action.

The talented striker will be desperate to shake off this minor injury that he’s sustained. Once he has, he will surely be desperate to get into the team and on the goal trail.
