An official proposal has been made by an unnamed club for Rangers target Albion Rrahmani, according to Emanuel Rosu.
The Romanian journalist who has featured in BBC, Four Four Two and Guardian, among others has claimed that one official proposal has been made for the 23-year-old.
However, it’s not understood to be from Gers and Rapid Bucuresti are looking for a £6.8million fee to part ways with the Kosovo international.
Via Twitter, Rosu wrote: “There is no offer for Rrahmani from Glasgow Rangers as of now. Rapid has only one official proposal for the Kosovo international and it’s not from Rangers. That’s (£6.8million) what they aim for at this stage.”
Rangers must put all eggs in the Lawrence Shankland basket
Gers have been linked with a move for Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, a proven goal scorer in the Scottish Premiership.
His prolific form in front of goal has resulted in Gers being back in the frame to sign him ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and he has impressed Philippe Clement recently as well.
If Gers are willing to spend the big bucks on a striker, rather than Rrahmani, they must go al out for Shankland.
While he has had a good season in Romania, it’s uncertain how his performances would translate to the Scottish Premiership.
Given Shankland’s proven track record in the Scottish league and his familiarity with the competition, he would be a more reliable investment for the Ibrox outfit.
