Arne Slot stance on Liverpool £30m+ transfer for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville emerges

Arne Slot is likely to sign off on a deal worth in excess of £30m for Liverpool to sign Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to the Daily Express.

Writing on their website (3 May), the news outlet report that the Dutch winger is a target for the Anfield club to potentially replace winger Luis Diaz, who has been linked with a move to PSG.

And Slot, who is set to take over from Jurgen Klopp, is said to be “wild” about the Elland Road star and would be open to working with the 22-year-old should the opportunity for him to be signed present itself if Leeds fail to earn promotion back to the Premier League.

Crysencio Summerville to leave Leeds United?

Daniel Farke’s system was built to get the best from an outstanding attacking squad, and it suited nobody more than it suited Summerville this season.

The youngster has hit 20 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season to fire the Whites to the brink of promotion, but it looks like they will need to navigate the playoffs to secure it with Ipswich needing just one point from the final game of the regular season.

Should the club not make it to the top flight, Summerville has just two years remaining on his contract and his performances will undoubtedly attract plenty of attention from rivals.

Leeds United Crysencio Summerville

Crysencio Summerville’s brace sealed a 4-3 win for Leeds at Middlesbrough, and he’s set to play a key role in their final two games of the season.

Liverpool will have a lot of money to spend and with a new manager coming in, he will want to put his own stamp down on the squad in order to implement his system.

Without promotion it will be difficult for the 49ers to keep their star players in the Championship again, and despite the desire to give him a new deal, Liverpool could be too big of an opportunity for him to turn down.
