Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown reveal strong Worrisome Injury Update After Win vs New Orleans Pelicans

For the Boston Celtics to win a ring this season, every man in the lineup must stay healthy for the remainder of the season. But with Jaylen Brown injuring his left hand, that may prove be harder than expected.

Just recently, Brown played through an injured left hand in a dominant 104-92 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. In that game, Jayson Tatum dropped 23 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Jaylen Brown added 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while Kristaps Porzingis made 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The Pelicans had a stellar showing from Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum. The former notched 25 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, while the former Portland Trail Blazers star tallied 24 points, five assists, and two steals. Herbert Jones also helped by making 18 points on 44 percent shooting from beyond the arc, and five rebounds.

The win solidified Boston’s position as the top team in the league with a record of 58-16. New Orleans, on the other hand, is in the Western Conference’s fifth seed with 45 wins and 29 losses. This placed the team just one game ahead of a surging Dallas Mavericks team led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Boston Celtics Star Jaylen Brown Reveals Injury Status After Getting a Dub Against New Orleans Pelicans

After the game, Brown sat down with reporters and revealed how his left hand was. Throughout the game, there were several instances when the All-Star wing was visibly in pain and clutching that particular hand. In a tweet by Gary Washburn on X:

“Jaylen Brown said his left hand has been bothering him recently and he’s going to get it “looked at” when the #Celtics get back to Boston. Didn’t have it wrapped or iced. #Pelicans,” Washburn tweeted.

Boston’s win marked the first instance their top guys were all healthy at the same time. Porzingis, in particular, has dealt with various injuries to his body during his stints with the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards.

With only several games remaining in the regular season, there’s a pretty good chance the Celtics will finish on top this year. Hopefully, Brown will be healthy enough to be there.
