The team’s newest big man will stay with them through the 2025-2026 season.
The Celtics have just completed their most significant offseason transaction. According to many sources, Boston and Kristaps Porzingis have agreed to a two-year, $60 million deal that would keep the big man in green until 2026.
Porzingis was eligible for a two-year, $77 million deal after picking up his $36 million player option for next season, but it appears that the newest Celtic has already given his new team a local discount.
The last year of Porzingis’ contract will most likely be the first year of both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum’s supermax contracts.
