Boston Celtics Star Says He’s Coming Off The Bench This Season

The Boston Celtics have gotten off to an impressive start to the 2023-24 NBA season, with Jayson Tatum and company getting the best of the New York Knicks on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple.

Although it was a close game throughout the contest, the Celtics were clearly the better team throughout the game, with Kristaps Porzingis putting on a show by lighting up one of his former teams for 30 points in his Celtics debut, which the most points ever for a player making his debut for Boston in franchise history.

Along with franchise history being made by Porzingis, the Celtics put on a show and proved why they could be the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, if not the entire NBA, this season.

As the Celtics try to impose their will on the rest of the league this season, they already appear to be having fun with one another, with Derrick White claiming the top six players on the squad had a meeting about the starting five, with Tatum getting named to be the one to come off the bench by White, which sparked this reaction on Twitter from Tatum himself.

As the best player on the team, Tatum isn’t coming off the bench anytime soon, as he is the heart and soul of the team moving forward.

However, with the Celtics being one of the deeper teams in the league this season, the starting five will be challenging to manage for head coach Joe Mazzulla, as he needs to find the right mix for the long haul.
