BREAKING: Cleveland Browns Announce Week 11 Starting Quarterback

The Cleveland Browns have announced their Week 11 starting quarterback and it may surprise you.

The Cleveland Browns have announced who their starting quarterback will be for Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Andrew Siciliano of the NFL Network, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski stated that rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the nod. It will be his second career start.

How We Got Here

Earlier today, the Cleveland Browns received devastating news. They found out that QB Deshaun Watson was going to be out for the season due to a shoulder injury. He was apparently playing through that and an ankle sprain during Sunday’s win against the Baltimore Ravens.

Most people may have expected P.J. Walker to get the start. However, he has not played great in his limited appearances. Walker has completed just 49% of his passes this season and has five interceptions in three games.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson

So, what can we expect from Dorian “DTR” Thompson-Robinson? The truth is it remains to be seen. He is a rookie out of UCLA who is making just his second professional start.

DTR made one forgettable start this season in the Browns’ first meeting with the Ravens. He had just 121 passing yards and three interceptions in that game. Now, the Browns have to hope he fares better against this Steelers defense.

Betting Implications

Today’s news has had major implications on betting lines for the Week 11 matchup against Pittsburgh. Before the Watson news, the Browns were 4-point favorites. Now, they have gone down to just 1-point favorites according to DraftKings.
