breaking NEWS: The Browns star’s $90 million contract has been deemed one of the greatest in the NFL.

The ongoing Trevor Lawrence watch continues deep into the week as the Jaguars get ready for a road trip to Cleveland. On Wednesday, the third year starter met with the media for his usual weekly presser and noticeably was walking without crutches or a boot on his ankle.

One day later, the Jags shared actual video evidence of Lawrence at practice, throwing the football, granted he was wearing a pretty hefty brace on his left leg to stabilize the ankle.

Whether or not Lawrence’s presence is a legitimate sign that he’ll play or just an act of gamesmanship by Jacksonville is anybody’s guess. Head coach Doug Pederson expressed a hesitancy in putting Lawrence on the the field if he wasn’t 100-percent ready to go. That said, he was limited at practice on Thursday, making Lawrence’s practice status on Friday will be worth monitoring.

Lawrence suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Jacksonville’s Monday Night Football loss to the Bengals. The Clemson product had his ankle stepped on by left tackle Walker Little and left the field with the help of trainers on either side of him. Initially, given Lawrence’s raw reaction in real time where he threw his helmet, there was fear it could be a season-ending injury but all signs point to he and his team having dodged a bullet.
