Courtney Morgan general manager of Alabama Just Announced that Kalen DeBoer is no Longer

Courtney Morgan, the program’s new general manager, was on the same plane as Alabama athletic director and new football head coach Kalen DeBoer, but his formal announcement did not come until recently.

According to the university’s official release,

In addition to supervising and managing the day-to-day activities of the recruiting and personnel departments, Morgan will be responsible for roster management for the Crimson Tide. Along with assisting with transfer portal evaluations, he will assist with head coach film evaluations and prospect communication. Additionally, Morgan is in charge of Alabama football’s internal brand management.

Morgan has worked with DeBoer for many years, having held the same position during the head coach’s tenures at Washington, Fresno State, and San Jose State back in 2019. As such, Morgan is familiar with how DeBoer prefers to manage a program.

DeBoer had nothing but praise for Morgan.

 

“Courtney plays a crucial role in our program,” stated DeBoer. “He is a vital component of our efforts to find and assess talent at the high school level and in the transfer portal. He has excellent relationships throughout the nation. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome Courtney to Tuscaloosa since he is a key component of our goals at Alabama.

Morgan takes seriously his responsibility to uphold DeBoer’s system and advance the interests of the Crimson Tide in his role within the Alabama program.

Morgan remarked, “I am excited to uphold the standard that Alabama football has created and I adore working with Coach DeBoer.” “We all share the same objective as a staff, and we have faith in Coach DeBoer’s methodology for success. Success is mostly attributed to hard work and trust, and I’m always prepared for work and have great faith in Coach DeBoer’s program-building methodology.
